Battles are fought everyday. Throughout history, battles were fought over land, resources, power, and between families. When one side was the victor, you can hear shouts of joy. You can hear the cries of joy from the suffering and oppressed. They can finally feel their sense of justice coming to fruition.
I have never felt the joy and excitement of winning those types wars and battles. I did not live through those times, but I do however have my own wars and battles to be fought. I have fought through failures, oppression and several loved one's death. I have cried out of agony and out of sadness in the beginning but in the end, it was shouts of joy and cries of joy.
I have overcome a failure and achieved what others say was impossible for me. I have embraced oppression and giving them forgiveness, I am overwhelmed with grace and compassion. I have lost dear ones but knowing that I will see them in heaven gave me joy beyond my heart's contempt.
The greatest of all is knowing that my Lord overcame death, redeemed me, and gave me a new life. When I first knew, I was upset and could not come to the terms of understanding why it happened. As I understood, I was no longer upset but rather full of joy and welcomed his death into my life with joy.
Todays devotion comes from:
Psalms / Phau Ntawv Nkauj 98:4
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;
Neeg ntiajteb cia li hu nkauj zoo siab qhuas tus TSWV; cia li hu nkauj qhuas nws thiab zoo siab ua nws tsaug!
