Ministry for Christ is hard. It is a never-ending battle that wages war against ourselves and the world. For the church, it is a constant struggle to correct wrong doctrine. It is also hard to correct corrupt leadership. Church leadership sometimes is taken for granted. At times it is not.
The thing that makes churches so plentiful and growing is because of the leaders within the church. Churches have leaders that are gifted in preaching, teaching, encouraging and discipling. For each church, God has given more than one leader. These leaders are the tools that God uses for his will. Each is given a purpose. As a pencil, it writes. As a compass, it stirs direction. As a hammer, it builds. As for the same with a pastor, they preach. For a Sunday school teacher, they teach. For a coordinator, they give direction.
No matter how big or small your role is, you are given a gift. Use that gift for God. Use it for Christ. Let it dwell within you as the Holy Spirit dwells within. For God's grace comes in many forms, so must each of our gifts come to serve.
Today's devotion comes from:
1 Peter / 1 Petus 4:10
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in various forms.
