Growing up, you and I both can attest to the fact that we was raised up in the world. For five days of the week, we went to school learning about math, science and literature. This was instilled in us for about 14 years until we became adults and decided whether to continue or not.
Five days a week for 14 years, don't you think that can have an impact on our lives and our decisions? In all those years and through your adult life, you are still being taught through the television shows, commercials, and world leaders. Some truly became what the world wanted and those that don't was transformed by something else.
Sometime during those 14 years, one day a week, about 2 hours during that day, you might have been taught something else. You were taught Christ. You were the lucky ones who was taught since childhood and if you knew and acknowledged the lessons and grew in faith maturity, you became something else. You put away your old self, renewed your mind, and became as close to Christ as you can. You are now living in the Word. You are now living in God. You are now living in Christ.
Today's devotion comes from:
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
