Since the creation of the world, from our ancestors to today, we have been wondering about the end of times. Each culture has its own theory about the end of the world.
The Mayans predicted that the world would end in December 2014. And what happened? People travelled far to the ancient temple and people prepared for it.
Remember in 1999, the end of the world was going to end in Y2K, the year of 2000. I remember people and even family members stocking up on water, charcoals and even lighters. People waited in long lines.
The world will end sooner or later. The truth though is that we won't know. We will never be able to predict the time and place. Only God knows.
The Bible talks about the end of times. They don't however talk about when. They only describe it. It is up to us to have faith, wait and prepare for the time when Christ does come back. When he does, it will be a time when we least except it, a time when the world probably forgot about him.
You must be like the homeowner who is prepared. As the thief entered the house, the homeowner was prepared and when it was time, the homeowner knew and saved his family. Like the homeowner, prepare yourselves and your family for when Christ comes.
Today's devotion comes from:
“You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.”
“Yog li no nej yuav tsum npaj txhij rau qhov Neeg leej Tub yuav los rau teev uas nej tsis nco xav txog.”
